McKnight Park

McKnight Park is an 81-acre community park located at 120 DeJarnette Lane in the northern area of Murfreesboro. Facilities include:

 

  • Sports*Com, an indoor/outdoor multipurpose sports and recreational facility composed of a gymnasium, 1/16 mile track, aerobics area, fitness equipment, game room, meeting room, 25-yard indoor pool, 50-meter outdoor pool and a sand volleyball court.
  • Four youth softball fields and concession stand (home of the Stones River Kiwanis Girls Softball Program).
  • Star*Plex, a five-field youth/adult baseball/softball complex with concessions and restroom facilities (home of the Optimist Little League Baseball Program).
  • Eight youth/adult soccer/football fields with a picnic shelter, concession stand and rest room facilities.
  • One medium-sized picnic shelter located next to the side parking lot of Sports*Com
Oakland Park

Oakland Park is a 31-acre neighborhood park and historic site located at the corner of North Maney and Roberts streets.

Old Fort Park is a 50-acre community park located at 1025 Old Fort Pkwy.

Patterson Park

Patterson Park consists of 10 acres and a 110,000-square-foot facility located at 521 Mercury Boulevard. Facilities include:

 

  • Patterson Park Community Center, an indoor/outdoor multipurpose sports and recreational facility composed of two gymnasiums, 1/8-mile track, aerobics area, fitness equipment, game room, conference center with three meeting rooms and dining room, indoor pool with 25-yard lap area, zero-depth area, interactive play system and triple-loop slide, theater, arts and crafts room, and MGL Library.

Richard Siegel Soccer Complex and Community Park

Richard Siegel Soccer Complex and Community Park is a 137-acre soccer complex and community park. The park is located at the corner of 231 North and Cherry Lane. Siegel is one of the premier soccer facilities in the Southeast region. Facilities include:

 

  • One lighted championship field with stadium seating
  • Ten lighted regulation soccer fields
  • Four youth soccer fields
  • Two multi purpose fields

Stones River Greenway System

The Murfreesboro Greenway System consists of the Stones River and Lytle Creek trails. The Stones River and Lytle Creek Greenways are available for you to enjoy nature hikes, walking, running, bicycling, or in-line skating along the 4 ½-miles of riverside trails. Small watercraft access points are also available for paddlers to enjoy the Stones River. The Murfreesboro Greenway System connects historical sites, parks, neighborhoods and businesses; it also serves as a conservation corridor to preserve precious natural and cultural resources.
